ABOUT CASCADE:

Cascade Community Healthcare (CCH) has been providing treatment services to Lewis County and surrounding areas for more than 50 years. Our mission is to provide our clients with compassionate and encouraging counseling leading to a renewed sense of hope and the ability to make positive changes and live more satisfying lives. Cascade currently has six treatment locations in Lewis County.

 

We are looking for a Substance Use Specialist (SUDP or SUDPT*) to join our ACT team. This position provides direct, supportive, and ongoing coordination of therapeutic services to assist clients with co-occurring disorders achieve the highest level of independence and stability possible in their community. Services delivered are recovery-focused and include but are not limited to case management, treatment planning, resource identification and assistance, identification and development of natural supports, advocacy, service monitoring and follow-up, collaboration with natural supports and other providers, and individual and group services. 


*SUDPT candidates must have their assessment and group hours completed. 


SHIFTS AVAILABLE:

Day Shift: Monday - Friday


This position may require that the employee work a non-standard work week, including evenings and weekends on a rotation schedule, including on-call rotations. This position is classified as being non-exempt according to the Fair Labor Standards Act.


PAY SCALE:

Payrates are based on credential(s), education, and relevant experience. 

SUDPT: $22.04 - 26.87

SUDP: $31.14 - 37.96


WHAT YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social/Behavioral Sciences is preferred. 
  • Washington State Department of Health Credential required (RAAC and SUDPT, or SUDP).
  • Experience working with individuals experiencing serious mental illness and substance use disorders preferred.
  • Must be able to represent the agency in a positive and professional manner.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be able to enter information into a computer network system.
  • Must comply with agency policies and procedures.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle.
  • Must have satisfactory driving record. 
  • Must be able to pass WA State Patrol and/or national background checks.
  • Must be able to gain access to all types of buildings and residences regardless the structures’ handicapped accessibility or lack thereof. 
  • Must keep current contact information and mailing address on file with Human Resources.

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Provide evidence-based treatment.
  • Provide consultation and support to other team members on treatment approaches.
  • Provide psychoeducation about substance use.
  • Participates in treatment planning with clients; identify, document, and track treatment goals.
  • Documents clinical progress notes for all contacts with each client.
  • Monitor, report, and document all information regarding client progress and compliance. Detailed records are a priority for effective case management.
  • Promotes and reinforces the client’s best possible functioning within the community.
  • Meets direct service goals as assigned by manager/director.
  • Completes clinical documentation according to agency policy.
  • Participates in supervision, consultation, and training at the direction of the supervisor and/or team lead.
  • Maintains records and reports in accordance with agency policies and procedures.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.  The employee is frequently required to stand and walk.  The employee is occasionally required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.


Driving is a requirement for this position. Must be willing and legally able to drive in the state of Washington.

Medical benefits will be effective the first of the month following date of hire. Must be at least a 0.75 FTE (30 hours/week) to be eligible for medical benefits. Must be at least a 0.5 FTE (20 hours per week) to be eligible for all other benefits.

  • Working towards licensure? We have Team Managers that will provide those hours at no charge to you.
  • Cascade covers the cost of Department of Health licensure renewals and other certification renewals that are required for you to do your job (DEA, CPR/BLS, etc.).
