We are a privately owned, multi-doctor small animal hospital with two locations, and we’re on the hunt for a Hospital Administrator to help keep our thriving practice running smoothly.

For both locations, we have 13 doctors and over 90 dedicated support staff that offer a full range of services, from wellness care to advanced surgeries, rehabilitation, ultrasound, endoscopy, dentistry and CT scan. Your Role:

As the Hospital Administrator, you’ll be the driving force behind our daily operations, ensuring our hospital runs smoothly and efficiently. You'll lead, mentor, and support our incredible team while managing the business side of veterinary care. Your leadership will foster a culture of trust, teamwork, and accountability, all while keeping our mission and core values at the heart of everything we do.

What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee all hospital operations across both locations, ensuring a seamless experience for staff, clients, and pets.
  • Lead and support department supervisors, including veterinary assistants, technicians, client care staff, and more.
  • Lead and support Human Resource Generalist, including payroll, recruitment, training, benefits, and performance coaching.
  • Assist in managing the IT Coordinator, Maintenance Supervisor and Marketing Coordinator
  • Collaborate with financial and marketing teams to drive the hospital’s success.
  • Ensure the hospital meets labor goals, monitors budgets, and maintains our top-tier facilities.
  • Work closely with veterinarians and pet owners to resolve concerns and enhance the client experience.
  • Organize and conduct leadership meetings, training sessions, and staff development programs.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining a culture that reflects our core values.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5 years of direct management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • CVPM (Certified Veterinary Practice Manager) or MHA (Master of Healthcare Administration) is a big plus!
  • Strong skills in leadership, decision-making, communication, and strategic planning.
  • Passion for the veterinary field and a commitment to excellent patient care and exceptional customer service.
  • May consider an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.

  • Analytical skills; strong ability to analyze information quickly and efficiently as it relates to the hospital’s finances.
  • Strategic planning; the ability for financial forecasting, marketing plans, and long-term plans for the growth of the practice.
  • Leadership; ability to effectively manage and direct hospital staff towards a common goal.
  • Decision-making skills; possess the ability to make good decisions, solve problems, and decide on essential matters.
  • Communications; demonstrate the ability to communicate, orally, and in writing, effectively to convey necessary information to hospital staff.
  • Resourcefulness and adaptability; the ability to take the initiative and get things done as well as the ability to adapt to changes or new information.
  • Compliance; ability to understand and manage important compliance regulations and requirements of the hospital.
  • Planning and prioritizing; must be able to organize work efficiently, set priorities, and establish plans and timetables for achieving goals.
  • Deep understanding of Human Resource issues.
