Primary Position Objectives
Ensure that finance and payroll systems, processes and deliverables are executed accurately, timely and in accordance with Company procedures. Analyze systems and data and use proper judgment and discretion to resolve issues and problems. Provide backup and assistance to Finance & Administration Manager to ensure that effective finance services are delivered to staff and students.

Administration Procedures
- Follow all integrity guidelines and procedures and ensure no manipulation of student data
- File all payroll related reports timely; coordinates with Human Resources to ensure accuracy of payroll, deductions, and reporting
- Prioritize to ensure that all tasks and deliverables are completed on time
- Analyze systems and data to resolve issues and problems
- Coordinate and edit the work of subordinate staff within the Finance Department
- Provide training to staff within the Finance Department
- Play vital role in determining allowable versus disallowable expenses
- Reconcile the Accounts Payable (not Payroll) bank account, general ledger accounts and prepare associated journal entries
- Prepare all financial reports for submission to upper management, DOL Regional Office and corporate headquarters
- Record, audit, or report financial transactions and controls the Student Welfare Fund, including the Student Store when applicable
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable according to policy in coordination with Finance manager
- Participate in monthly inventory counts and reconciliation according to policy and in coordination with Finance manager
- Process and reconcile student payroll and SPAMIS transactions according to policy and in coordination with Finance manager
- Frequently perform all tasks and duties assigned to the Finance department, including audits of cash and meal ticket funds, to support the department and to substitute for Finance Manager in his/her absence
- Maintain financial and cost data (including cash accounts, general ledger, cost ledger, A/R, etc.) in organized, efficient, and logical systems
- Produce quality work/assignments in a thorough, timely and accurate manner
- Maintain appropriate personal attendance, accountability, and work productivity standards
- Plan, prioritize and organize assignments to meet established goals and deadlines
- Understand and apply job knowledge to effectively complete all required job responsibilities
- Proactively maintain the skills required to perform job duties

- Mentor, monitor, and model the Career Success Standards as required by the PRH
- Show respect and courtesy to students and hold them accountable for their actions and behavior
- Provide quality services for students and ensure that quality is maintained, and student needs are met; Pursue improvement and enhancement of requisite services
- Exchange ideas and information, both orally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner and contributes meaningfully to group efforts by offering relevant ideas and knowledge
- Provide quality and timely information to DOL/Company when requested
- Effectively articulate thoughts and ideas; Identify problems, analyze causes and evaluate appropriate solutions prior to taking or recommending actions; Follow up to ensure prompt/appropriate action is taken and that problems are in fact corrected
- Work in partnership with staff from all Departments to ensure effective supervision and services are provided to students
- Accept direction and supervision from the Center Director/Center Duty Officer/Shift Manager to include assignments to temporarily perform job responsibilities of other departments and positions
- Maintain good housekeeping in all areas and comply with safety practices
- Comply with all DOL guidelines, OFCCP regulation, Quality Assurance Plan (QAP), LifeSkills Connection Inc.’s policies and procedures, Job Corps notices and bulletins, and Center policies and procedures
- Demonstrate and abide by LifeSkills Connection Inc.’s core values and operating principles
- Participate in PRH mandated staff training; Failure to participate may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination

Education
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school in accounting or related field
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid State Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
