Cascadia Mobility is Eugene's nonprofit operator for bike share, bike valet, and other programs that elevate active transportation. As our scope broadens in 2025, we are growing our team to support sustainable and accessible mobility solutions.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Bike Valet Event Coordinator is a lead role responsible for overseeing on-the-ground operations of our bike valet services at events. This position ensures smooth event execution, manages last-minute staffing adjustments, maintains inventory, and provides post-event reporting to the Programs Manager.
The Coordinator will also handle tip distribution among staff and volunteers and serve as the main point of contact during events.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead day-of operations for bike valet services at events.
- Act as the main point of contact for valet staff and volunteers.
- Handle any last-minute staffing adjustments, including finding replacements as needed.
- Ensure all bike valet procedures are followed.
- Oversee setup and teardown of valet infrastructure.
- Keep track of inventory and notify the Programs Manager when restocking is needed.
- Ensure accurate and equitable distribution of tips among staff and volunteers, reporting totals to the Programs Manager.
- Provide a brief post-event report on attendance, staffing, and operational notes.
- Maintain excellent customer service and represent Cascadia Mobility’s mission at events.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Leadership experience or ability to manage a small team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing conditions.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 65 pounds, bend, and stand for long periods.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Confident on a bicycle and passionate about sustainable transportation.
- Detail-oriented and able to track inventory needs.
- Ability to function both independently and as part of a team.
COMPENSATION & PERKS
- Pay: $18/hour, paid semi-monthly.
- Tips: Equitably divided among staff and volunteers. The Coordinator ensures fair distribution and reports totals to the Programs Manager.
