What are the responsibilities and job description for the VRT Shipping Lead - 3rd Shift position at Case Farms, LLC?
- Assists production shift staff to attain quality, safety, and production schedule objectives.
- Helps manage operations of the department; Schedules production functions; key performance indicators and special needs.
- Ensures trucks are loaded properly, efficiently, and with urgency.
- Verifying the cleanliness of the cooler, dock and all Shipping grounds are maintained in an acceptable manner.
- Identifies opportunities to improve processes and reduce manufacturing costs.
- Follows effective operational decisions in an expedient manner while maintaining quality standards.
- Helps monitor equipment; troubleshoot minor equipment problems and corrects. Provides vision and inspiration for the team; mentors encourage and motivate team members, ensuring individual and group productivity.
- Tracks key performance indicators; Uses math skills to calculate operating/efficiency results.
- Cultivates a positive working environment; Fosters productive working relationships among team members; Builds and strengthens relationships within the team; Serves as an excellent example to others; fosters company culture.
- Consistently abides by company policies, safety standards, quality standards, SOPs, and GMPs
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Should be computer literate with skill in Microsoft Office.
- Effective communication skills.
- Management prefers experience with various industry accepted procedures, including HACCP, SPC, etc., and plant efficiency as it related to yield, lbs./birds, pmh, line speeds, and automatic process equipment.
- Sound work ethic, honesty, and moral character.
- Ability to operate a floor jack and have a basic knowledge of loading
- Ability to take initiative, maintain confidentiality, and meet deadlines
