Position : Visiting Assistant Professor of Law
Starting Date : July 1, 2025
The School of Law at Case Western Reserve University invites applications for a two-year visiting assistant professor position, with the possibility of renewal for a third year, beginning July 1, 2025.
Qualifications : A JD degree is required and experience in law school teaching is preferred. Candidates should have a demonstrated ability to teach in one or more of the following areas : Torts; Criminal Law; Law, Legislation, and Regulation; Civil Procedure; Constitutional Law; Evidence; Sales; Family Law; Elder Law; Criminal Law; Professional Responsibility; FDA Law; Health Law; and Bioethics. The School of Law’s strongest needs are in Law, Legislation, and Regulation, Property, and Evidence.
Teaching Load : The visitor will teach 2 courses per academic year which may vary based on the School’s curricular needs.
Term and Renewal : This position is for a two-year term, with the possibility of renewal for a third year, subject to the needs of the School and the candidate's performance.
Note : This is not a look-see appointment; it is intended for a visiting faculty member to contribute significantly to the School's teaching mission during the appointment period.
