Job Description:
We are looking for an associate attorney with experience attending trials, hearings, or arbitration proceedings. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of lemon law, personal injury law, and the ability to handle complex cases. Excellent litigation and negotiation skills are a must.
Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in lemon law and personal injury cases in courts, arbitrations, and hearings.
- Prepare and draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery.
- Advise clients on legal matters related to lemon law, personal injury, and consumer rights.
- Manage a caseload from inception to resolution, including settlement negotiations and trial preparation.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and the legal team to develop case strategies.
- Stay current on relevant laws and regulations to provide accurate legal counsel.
Compensation Structure:
- 10% of attorney fees generated for each case you handle.
- Typical attorney fees range from $2,000 to $4,000 per case.
- We typically start with 5 cases in the first couple of months, growing to 30 or more cases per month after 3 months typlically.
- Potential income example: If you handle 30 cases with an average fee of $3,000 per case, your share would be $9,000 per month (30 cases x $3,000 x 10%).
- The more cases you handle, the higher your earning potential as we expand.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active bar membership in good standing.
- 3 years of experience in litigation, with a focus on lemon law, personal injury law, consumer protection, or related fields.
- Trial, hearing, or arbitration experience is required.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple cases at once.
