Casella Construction is seeking to hire a Maintenance Parts Manager to join our Maintenance Team in Pittsford, Vermont. The Parts Manager is overall responsible for the management (receipt, control & issuance) of our companies’ spare parts inventory (ensuring we have the right amount of the right type), managing our inventory levels of consumables (oils, grease, aerosols), shipping & receiving of goods. In this role you will own the inventory, cleanliness, and organizational control of our spare parts areas. You will order, maintain, and receive maintenance spare parts in order to support restocking our inventory levels as well as support unplanned repairs in the field. You will research & source special orders. Use the internet to find specialty replacement parts, unload trucks, provide service to both our shop and road mechanics. You also will be required to assign spare parts to assets in the system. As the inventory manager, you will be required to kit different levels of Preventative Maintenance programs so mechanics can simply draw a bin of all the required parts to complete their various PMs for the day or week. As the manager ordering spare parts, you will also be responsible for creating Purchase Orders, validating bill of ladens, and ensuring we received what we ordered at the correct price.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least three years of experience in a fleet spare parts room role.
- Knowledge of diesel, gas, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and emission systems.
- Experience with and knowledge of FMCSA DOT regulations desired.
- Certified AEMP preferred, or other trucking industry certification desired.
Competencies:
You must have a keen understanding and be proficient with our computer maintenance management software B2W to order & receive parts against work orders, inventory & assets. This role requires you to have mechanical aptitude, the desire to understand how things work & a customer service mindset every day. You are here to support our mechanics working in our shops and in the field to enable them to spend the maximum amount of time conducting repairs & services on our equipment.
Areas of Ownership:
- Inventory Control (including establishing levels & Spare Parts)
- Invoice Reconciliation & coding (ensuring tying vendor invoice to both work order & purchase order)
- Shop Oils & Consumables
- PO Creation/Issuance
- Parts Tracking/Receiving
- Quarterly Price Shopping for inventoried items
- Quarterly Physical Inventory & Monthly 10% sample
- Kitting PM Kits for mechanics
- Oil Sampling program (Weekly Submission of samples for testing)
- Spare & PM Parts setup and assignment to assets in B2W.
