Job Description

Role Overview: We are seeking a highly accomplished Vice President of FP&A to join a private-Equity backed SaaS portfolio company. As a key member of the leadership team, this individual will lead strategic financial planning, drive operational excellence, and enable data-driven decision-making to maximize enterprise value.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of SaaS business models, thrive in a fast-paced private equity environment, and demonstrate a proven ability to collaborate across teams to deliver actionable insights and measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Leadership

  • Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy, including the annual operating plan, long-term financial planning, and quarterly forecasts.
  • Partner with the CFO, CEO, and leadership team to identify and prioritize strategic growth opportunities, including organic expansion and M&A activity.
  • Establish a robust financial framework to drive predictable and scalable growth.

SaaS-Specific Metrics & Analysis

  • Own the development, tracking, and reporting of critical SaaS KPIs such as ARR, NRR, churn, CAC, LTV, and gross margin.
  • Design and implement systems to provide real-time visibility into performance and profitability by product, geography, and segment.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Lead preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reviews with actionable insights on variances, trends, and opportunities.
  • Present key financial data and analysis to the executive team, board of directors, and private equity stakeholders.
  • Drive board reporting processes, ensuring alignment with investor expectations and priorities.

Operational Excellence

  • Build and lead a high-performing FP&A team capable of scaling with the company.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to create data-driven plans that optimize resource allocation and improve ROI.
  • Enhance financial systems, tools, and processes to support efficient decision-making and reporting.

M&A and Value Creation

  • Lead financial due diligence, modeling, and integration planning for acquisitions.
  • Partner with internal teams to execute on value creation initiatives, including EBITDA optimization, working capital improvements, and operational efficiency programs.
