Job Summary:

Reviews and posts payment requests to a wide variety of payees ranging from suppliers of goods and services to the Foundation’s constituents including collaborators, youth and families.  Audits invoices, contract payments and expense reimbursements for completeness and compliance to established policies and procedures.  Multi-tasking and the ability to adapt to interruptions and still complete daily job tasks is critical.  Provides assistance to the Foundation’s administrative staff and resolves problems and answers challenges in a high touch customer focused environment.

Essential Responsibilities:

 

·         Reviews invoices, contractual payments and expense reimbursements with an emphasis on appropriate authorization, supporting documentation and accurate account coding. Maintains confidentiality with all payees and safeguards protected and/or private information.

·         Reviews transactions posted to the Corporate credit card program ensuring accurate account coding and that all support documentation is uploaded.

·         Works closely with administrative staff across the Foundation in the communication and clarification of finance procedures as they relate to vendor bills and expense records entered into NetSuite. Demonstrates thoughtful and sound problem solving and problem resolution skills.

·         Works professionally as an individual with unique responsibilities as well as in a team with common goals and emphasis on excellent customer service and prompt payment processing,

Qualifications:

  • Two-year Accounting Degree or equivalent experience and coursework is required and a minimum of two year’s experience in a professional automated accounting environment. Experience should include knowledge of accounts payable, general ledger accounting and proficiency with database financial spreadsheet systems.
  • The position requires a very high level of accuracy, mathematical aptitude, and highly developed organizational and time management skills. A detail-orientated individual with strong verbal and written communication skills who adapts well in a changing environment is a must.
  • Proven experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) is required and experience with NetSuite is desirable.
  • Ability to perform effectively in high pressure and stressful work environment. Ability to manage stress and self-care.
  • Ability to work onsite full-time to meet the collaborative responsibilities that are essential for position. Regular and reliable attendance is required.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to lift and reach for light objects; ability to type and work at a computer for extended periods of time as a primary job function.
  • Ability to protect the confidentiality of sensitive information by learning and following all relevant policies and protocols and using sound judgment in the handling and sharing of that information.
  • Local travel as well as occasional out of town travel may be required. Driving on Casey business may require use of personal vehicle; adherence to vehicle safety guidelines and qualification for insurance is require.

This position is based at our Seattle, Washington Headquarters office. New hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary range between the minimum and the midpoint salary range, $60,600 to $71,300. Placement in the range will depend on a candidate’s job-related skills, experience, and expertise, as evaluated during the interview process. 

Casey Family Programs offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental and vision coverage, 10 paid holidays per year and each employee receives one personal holiday to use each calendar year. Employees that meet certain tenure qualifiers are eligible for up to eight weeks of parental leave for the birth or placement of a child for adoption or foster care. After the completion of 10 years of continuous, full-time regular employment, employees in good standing are permitted for a three-month sabbatical with pay. CFP also offers many opportunities for continued learning, training, and development.
