Job Summary:
The Senior Director leads and advances the work of the Knowledge Management team, which seeks to address critical questions, analyze solutions, and share meaningful, action-oriented information about innovative and transformative approaches, strategies, and implementation efforts to safety reduce the need for foster care. This senior leadership position engages with internal and external partners, including child welfare, tribal, lived expert, judicial, legislative, philanthropy, and community leaders, as well as other sectors, to develop new products and resources, and engage the field in a range of education and information sharing activities, including learning and improvement collaboratives, peer-to-peer exchange, webinars and other dissemination activities. The role leads members of the Knowledge Management team in exploring, organizing, creating and sharing the most relevant information, analyses, and lessons learned from research, best practice and experience on a broad range of topics, ensuring the development of high quality responsive and proactive resources to advance strategic decision-making to solve complex problems and drive meaningful change for children and families. This position is a member of the Senior Leadership Team for Systems Improvement.

· Oversees the development and delivery of a diverse range of proactive and responsive resources featuring the latest research, best practice information and other jurisdictional strategies and examples of implementation and innovation, with internal and external leaders and partners as they seek to safely reduce the need for foster care. Uses knowledge and research about jurisdiction and community needs, strengths, strategies, and concerns to determine the best ways to collaborate, assist and respond. |

· Leads, communicates, presents and delivers expertise and consultation designed to build capacity, maximize impact and spread new insights, innovation and information to Casey and external partners across the country. Advances creative, multi-channel engagement methods including convenings, trainings, and other events to support peer learning and exchange. |

· Shares in the operational planning and management of the Knowledge Management work unit, overseeing and taking responsibility for new initiatives, special projects and collaborative opportunities, including workgroups and Innovation and Lived Expert Partners to further Casey’s mission and vision. Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Human Services, Business, Public Administration or a related field is required.
- A minimum of ten years recent progressive leadership and management experience, preferably in a public or private child welfare system or other related organization focused on family strengthening, and wellbeing, including the development and advancement of large-scale, cross-team programs and projects. At least two years at a senior leadership level, preferably in a strategic capacity achieving results through staff and resources is desired. A PhD may be substituted for two years of senior leadership experience
- Expert knowledge of child-serving systems and community-based change, including but not limited to administration, policy and practice, and an understanding of the range of needs, issues and strategies required for system transformation. Expert knowledge of other fields related to child welfare, how those fields intersect, and the implications of these interconnections is also essential.
- Experience in pitching, collaborating, writing, editing, researching, strategic planning, project managing, and using data-driven analysis and decision-making required.
- Demonstrated active listening, coaching, mentoring and other management skills for overseeing a diverse group of staff, Innovation Partners and contractors is required. A commitment to building personal and organizational sensitivity and fluency towards diverse cultural, socio-economic and lifestyle backgrounds is essential.

- Experience with internet research, content management or other technical tools, and a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook®, Word®, Excel®, PowerPoint® Demonstrated ability to learn other pertinent software programs as required.

- Ability to work onsite full-time to meet the collaborative responsibilities that are essential. Regular and reliable attendance is required.
- This is a full time position with travel up to 25% of the time.
- Physical requirements include the ability to lift and reach for light objects; ability to type and work at a computer for extended periods of time as a primary job function.
- Ability to protect the confidentiality of highly sensitive and HIPPA protected information by learning and following all relevant policies and protocols and using sound judgment in the handling and sharing of that information.

This position is based in Seattle, WA. The typical hiring range is $151,130 to $177,800. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $204,470, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role. Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
Casey Family Programs offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental and vision coverage, accrual of 12 days of vacation, 12 days of sick time, 10 paid holidays per year, and each employee receives one personal holiday to use each calendar year. Employees that meet certain tenure qualifiers are eligible for up to eight weeks of parental leave for the birth or placement of a child for adoption or foster care. After the completion of 10 years of continuous, full-time regular employment, employees in good standing are permitted for a three-month sabbatical with pay. CFP also offers many opportunities for continued learning, training, and development.
