What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) position at Caseyville Nursing and Rehab?
Caseyville Nursing and Rehab is currently looking for a dedicated and experienced professional to assume the position of Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) at our skilled nursing home located in Caseyville, Il.
As the ADON you will be responsible for ensuring quality nursing care in accordance with Federal, State and Local regulations while leading the care staff in conjunction with the Director of Nursing (DON). You will promote the physical, personal and well-being of each resident and work closely with DON and Administrator, as well as other facility leadership and staff as you strive to provide the best care possible for our residents and families.
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Licensed RN with 3 plus years of nursing home experience with proven leadership and organizational skills
- Assist DON with defining and maintaining standards of nursing practice within the home
- Assist with the oversight of provision of appropriate medications, treatments, and
general nursing services according to resident’s care plan and physician directed orders
- Conduct daily rounds to monitor the delivery of nursing care
- Assist in the development and maintenance of in-services education programs for staff
- Share in the “on-call” rotation
- Assume responsibility of DON in his/her absence
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven experience in staffing, leading, and developing and retaining a strong team
- Provide nursing coverage and assistance when needed
- Manage and coordinate the work of all nursing and care staff, communicating pertinent resident health and safety information
- Must be able to meet all physical demands of the job including but not limited to: seeing, speaking, touching, walking, standing, bending, reaching overhead, crouching/kneeling or crawling, as well as the ability to regularly lift/move up to 50 lbs independently and up to 100 lbs with assistance
- Must remain flexible and have the ability to work weekends as needed
- Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office and PCC
- Participate in screening process prior to admission
- Assist in scheduling of nursing staff

Pay: $30.00 - $37.00 per hour
