Ride Maintenance Technician 

Ride Maintenance Technician repairs and maintains all rides and mechanical equipment in the park by utilizing knowledge and experience of various mechanical systems such as engines, electrical motors, hydraulics, PLC computer knowledge, electrical equipment, welds and welding. The Ride Maintenance Technician ensures that all rides meet local, state, and federal safety requirements through daily inspection and supports the park daily operation. Salary based on experience. Benefit options available. 

  • Study manuals to gain a better understanding of the working parts of rides and other equipment.
  • Inspect rides daily by observing equipment in operation.
  • Quickly locate the root cause of problems by looking for visual and audio clues.
  • Dismantle devices to gain access, remove, and repair/replace defective parts then reassemble and test to assure that all defects are fixed.
  • Apply preventive maintenance to rides and equipment such as cleaning, lubricating, and tightening parts.
  • Make timely decisions and supports/ explains reasoning for decisions. Include appropriate people in the decision making process.
  • Complete daily maintenance logs and review with the Maintenance Supervisor and formulate timelines for the completion of projects.
  • Observe safety and security procedures; Report potentially unsafe conditions; and use tools and materials properly.
  • Other duties as assigned that contribute to the overall operation of the park.

  • Quality Control - Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in work; Look for ways to improve and promote quality; and able to monitor own work for quality assurance.  
  • Dependability - Follows instructions and responds to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions; complete task on time or notifies supervisor with an alternate plan and timeline; consistently at work and on time for scheduled shift; and Ensure responsibilities are covered when absent.

  • Must be able to work outside in the park at various times throughout the year
  • Requires manual and bi-manual dexterity, fine and gross motor skills, eye/hand coordination, near vision, hearing and speech
  • Requires occasional standing, kneeling and bending
  • Requires occasional walking, reaching above shoulder, pushing and pulling
  • Requires occasional lifts and carries up to 50 to 70 pounds
  • Requires occasional carries up to 100 pounds with the assistance of a two-wheel hand truck.

You will be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Certifications: Electrical, Welding, Forklift, NAARSO/AIMS/RCMT etc.

Salary:  To be discussed at interview

Expected Hours of Work: 

We require that the Ride Maintenance Technician are available to work a varied schedule. We require that you be available to work weekends and holidays from March 3rd  to October 28th.  Ride Maintenance Technician must submit any requests for time off with two week's notice.

Experience: Mechanical Knowledge: 2 years (Preferred)

Language: English (Required), Knowledge of Spanish is helpful

Work authorization: United States (Required)

Must have a valid drivers license (Required)
