Job Description:

As a Baker you will use your experience to create new and flavorful desserts for our food outlets. 

Job Requirements:

• Make sure the quality or our desserts are of high quality and the portioned correctly. 
• Check the display cases every day for quality control. 
• Exercise creativity on new creations from the bakery.
• Ensure that no baked goods leave the kitchen without a ticket.
• Knowledgeable in production of doughs and form, baking and traying of early morning Danishes, sign work, mixing, baking, and proper storage of items baked.
• Knowledgeable in all aspects of dough’s, biscuits, Danish dough, baguettes, and muffins.
• Make sure the presentations in all outlets are up to our standards.    
• Maintain an open line of communication with Management.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with guests, fellow team members, and vendors.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma and/or GED preferred.
• At least 2 years previous experience as a baker.
• Must have 1 year Bakery experience.

Skills, Education and Other Requirements

• Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
• Must present a well-groomed appearance. 
• The ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced, potentially stressful environment.  
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, with variable overtime. 
• Must have the ability to successfully interact with other team members and management.
• Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Food Handlers Certification

Machinery, Work Equipment, Programs, Software, Hardware Used

• Must operate /maintain all kitchen equipment.
• Computer experience
• Microsoft Office programs
• Paycom system
