Job Description:
The responsibilities for this position are to handle all types of maintenance issues that may occur in the casino or restaurants, from electrical to plumbing, from HVAC to carpentry.
Job Requirements:
- Troubleshoot all casino equipment, including all heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, lighting, and audio-visual equipment.
- Work individually and as a member of the Engineering team to accomplish tasks.
- Be aware of safety issues and either repair or report such issues to the Director of Engineering.
- Follow through with preventative maintenance jobs to completion.
- Complete all assigned tasks in a timely manner and within budget.
- Replace damaged ceiling tile, floor tile, and wall coverings.
- Patch and paint walls.
- Load, unload, and change HVAC filters.
- Keep HVAC and kitchen equipment clean and dust free.
- Assure roof cleanliness by keeping roof swept and gutters and drains clear.
- Move lumber and materials as needed. Clean up construction debris.
- Lift, store, and hang heavy objects and materials including doors, cabinets, sheet rock, and ceiling tiles.
- Change light bulbs and tubes.
- Deliver and pick up parts, equipment and supplies from storage and vendors.
- Repair tables, stools, chairs, and office furniture by replacing or tightening loose hardware or components.
- Move office furniture and equipment as requested.
- Maintain housekeeping equipment including vacuums, sweepers, extractors, buffers, etc. by replacement of parts, electrical cords, brushes, belts, wheels and other components.
- Assist with snow removal.
- Must be able to work independently and unsupervised.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with guests, fellow team members, and vendors.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma and/or GED required.
- Must have at least 1 years’ experience or a combination of schooling and work-related experience.
- Knowledge of HVAC, gas equipment, plumbing a plus.
- Ability to read schematics, electrical, plumbing, etc.
- At least 5 years of experience in facility maintenance.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to troubleshoot and determine parts for order.
- Must have the ability to communicate both orally and in writing in English.
- Must have the ability to maintain composer in a potentially stressful environment.
- Ability to operate all equipment necessary for all maintenance and repair work on duty.
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
- Must be flexible and able to work all shifts and weekends and holidays.
