Casne Engineering is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Controls Engineer to join our Engineering Services team, supporting projects in the Phoenix, AZ area and through . This role involves designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions across a range of industries, with a focus on PLC and SCADA / HMI systems .

Position Overview
The Controls Engineer will be responsible for the development, programming, and integration of industrial control systems. This role is based in Phoenix, AZ and requires the ability to travel approximately two weeks per month , especially in the initial phase of employment. Additionally, as we expand our presence in the Phoenix area, we need someone who can respond to on-site needs within a few hours , when required.
An ideal candidate will have experience or familiarity with Lift Station and Wastewater Treatment Systems , as these industries represent a key focus of our regional work.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and test PLC and SCADA / HMI software
- Design control networks and telemetry infrastructure
- Engineer instrumentation, control systems, and control panels
- Conduct field investigations, troubleshooting, and system evaluations
- Support system integration, startup, and commissioning
- Prepare technical documentation, training materials, and O&M manuals
- Provide on-site support in Phoenix full-time with part-time support in other areas around the US
