Our client, a leader in industrial automation and controls, is looking for a Control Systems Engineer or Field Service Engineer to join their team. This is a pivotal role where you’ll lead cutting-edge automation projects, ensure quality system designs, and guide customers through the entire project lifecycle.
Role Overview:
As a Control Systems Engineer / Field Service Engineer, you'll take the reins on automation projects from concept to completion. You'll be responsible for overseeing the project team, ensuring the highest standards in design, and helping maintain strong customer relationships. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on delivering results in fast-paced, high-tech environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Sales Support: Lead the project team, assign tasks, support change order generation, and nurture relationships with customers to ensure project success.
- Instrumentation & Electrical Design: Develop comprehensive instrument lists, evaluate and select hardware, compile documentation, and inspect control enclosures. Experience with Rockwell automation systems is a major plus!
- System Design & Configuration: Lead design reviews, configure PLC/DCS control algorithms, and ensure quality control testing. Familiarity with Rockwell FactoryTalk Suite and other major automation platforms like Aveva System Platform and Inductive Ignition Perspective will be beneficial.
- Onsite System Startup: Oversee installation and system tests, troubleshoot on-site, and train customers on system operations to ensure they’re set up for long-term success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field or related discipline.
- 3 years of experience in a similar role with a focus on control systems and automation.
- Experience with Rockwell systems (e.g., FactoryTalk, ControlLogix), as well as Aveva System Platform and Inductive Ignition Perspective.
- Programming knowledge in VBA, Python, or other scripting languages is a plus.
- A passion for leading high-performance teams and delivering customer-centric results.
Salary : $80,000 - $130,000
