Job Overview
Assist the Marketing Department with daily tasks, including but not limited to email development, photoshoots, managing the online storefront, and sample management. Will work directly with the Marketing Manager & Director of Marketing. This is an entry-level creative marketing position; the applicant should be passionate about contributing to the expansion of a growing retail ecommerce business.
Responsibilities
- Creating emails, illustrator and/or photoshop experience needed; additional creative cloud fluency is a plus
- Utilizing a Shopify storefront to assist in merchandizing collections and individual products (prior experience is a plus)
- Helping with total website updates for navigation and brand aesthetics
- Ability to understand the brand voice when curating content
- Utilizing reporting and customer feedback to address changes on site and via email
- Assistance with photoshoots and styling
- Creative energy is a must
- Experience with email management sites (such as Klaviyo or Mailchimp) is a plus
- An understanding of a Retail calendar
- Keen organizational skills are crucial
- Passionate about expanding a growing online & retail business using data and analytics
- Experience with social media marketing is a plus
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Merchandising, or related field is preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered
- 0-2 years’ experience in a related field
- Must live in or be available to commute to Charlottesville, VA Monday-Friday; this is an in-person position
- Occasional travel around the surrounding areas for photoshoots on location will be required Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with graphic design software is an advantage.
