Power Control Technician
Cass County Electric Cooperative is seeking a dedicated Power Control Technician to join our team. This full-time position plays an important role in ensuring the reliable operation of our electric utility system from our headquarters in Fargo, ND.
As a Power Control Technician, you will be responsible for operating the power control center for the cooperative's electric utility system including:
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor the operation of the electric utility system to ensure optimal performance
- Monitor crew assignments and support the restoration of service during outages
- Operate the cooperative's supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system and communication networks
What We're Looking For:
- Associate's degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology (or related field) plus two years of related experience (relevant work experience may substitute for some educational requirements)
- Previous experience in electric utility system operations is preferred
- Strong communication skills (both oral and written)
- Ability to establish effective professional relationships with internal teams and external partners
- Proficiency in computer use, with the ability to learn new software quickly
- Willingness to work a rotating shift, including holidays, nights, and weekends
