- Position SummaryThe System Analyst provides professional Information Systems support and project management for Cass Health applications, databases and computer software products such as Electronic Health Records systems. Performs technical and customer support functions, both remotely and at the customer location.
- Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree/Certificate or equivalent in Clinical Field, Clinical Informatics or Information Systems (work experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
- Valid Driver's License
- Current Iowa Practical Nursing License (LPN) or other clinical related license/certificate
- Current Iowa Registered Nursing License (RN) or other clinical related license/certificate
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent communicator, able to express ideas, concepts and discuss issues with a widely-diverse user community
- Well-organized with proven ability to manage projects and meet deadlines.
- Ability to positively motivate non-subordinate departments personnel to desired actions in meeting project goals and time frames
- Able to work both unsupervised and as part of teams
- Prior work in Information Systems or within a healthcare organization
- Practical knowledge/experience of PC business software including word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications
- Experience with end-user technical support
- Experience with multidisciplinary teams
- Significant exposure to and knowledge of hospital and financial/administrative department operating policies and procedures
- Proven ability in designing custom database reports
- Electronic Health Records system administration, Health Information Systems, or Healthcare Information Management experience
- Experience with healthcare interface design and implementation

- Performs professional information technology and applications support for Cass Health applications, databases, computer software products, and/or telecommunications software, as required.
- Develops, upgrades, tests, and implements Cass Health applications, databases, computer software products, reports, interfaces, and/or telecommunications software.
- Provides end-user and super-user training as required. Fosters an environment of learning and applying technology solutions within the user base. Trains IS support staff to troubleshoot and resolve common issues. Cross-trains other analysts to provide service and support coverage during absences.
- Maintains security features and settings preventing unauthorized users from accessing protected or confidential information. Documents adds, changes, and deletions. Provides security auditing reports for applications being supported. Works to minimize application downtime and protects data integrity.
- Effectively coordinates and plans projects. Communicates clearly with stakeholders, customers, and vendors. Established and maintains appropriate timelines. Maintains change management and negotiates changes in scope and timeline with all stakeholders.
- Develops and maintains strong and effective working relationships with vendor representatives and service/support providers.
- Proactively researches application enhancements and advocates implementation of features and functionality beneficial to patient care and the organization.
- Proactively rounds/meets with customers identifying process improvement needs or evaluating requests for new applications. Assists with organizational process improvements and workflow change. Proves IS support for software application selection, testing, and implementation.
- Completes and documents Help Desk support requests in a timely and effective manner.
- Participates in on-call rotation as requested by CIO. Provides assistance to those on-call when necessary in a timely and cooperative manner.
- Complete other assignments as requested by CIO in a timely manner.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
