Job Title: Marketing Coordinator / Ambassador of Fun
Overview and Job Summary
Reporting to the Associate Director, the Marketing Coordinator / Ambassador of Fun is responsible for a dual role, spending a large amount of their time focused on marketing efforts to drive client referrals and relationship development. The other portion of time will be dedicated to solely driving caregiver experience and engagement. This combined role will play an integral part in supporting the agency’s mission of providing a profoundly remarkable experience.
The Marketing Coordinator will focus on building and maintaining relationships with referral sources, marketing the agency to both potential clients and caregivers, and overseeing public relations strategies. Simultaneously, as the Ambassador of Fun, this position will foster a positive and engaging environment for new and existing caregiving staff, maintaining consistent communication throughout their hiring and employment journey, driving a fun experience with all potential and existing caregiving staff.
This role requires a combination of marketing drive, a comfort in public relations, as well as a passion for creating a fun, supportive, and effective culture.
Duties and Responsibilities
Marketing Coordinator
The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for implementing marketing strategies to attract new clients and caregivers, while also maintaining strong relationships with referral sources. Specific responsibilities include:
1. Client Referral Growth & Development:
◦ Develop and execute strategies to grow client referrals from hospitals, rehabilitation centers, nursing agencies, and clinics.
◦ Build and maintain relationships with key referral sources through regular and creative outreach.
◦ Measure and report on referral growth and its impact on revenue.
2. Caregiver Recruitment Marketing:
◦ Promote the agency to potential caregivers using both traditional and innovative marketing methods.
◦ Collaborate with the recruitment team to enhance caregiver recruitment efforts, targeting quality candidates to meet the agency’s staffing needs.
3. Public Relations & Community Engagement:
◦ Plan, organize, and attend events to promote the agency within the community.
◦ Represent the agency at business and industry group meetings to foster relationships with stakeholders.
4. Ongoing Marketing & Communications:
◦ Develop regular marketing reports and analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and strategies.
◦ Maintain a strong understanding of the agency’s programs, policies, and procedures.
◦ Stay current with industry trends, tools, and techniques.
5. Operational Support:
◦ Become proficient in using the company’s operational software for tracking leads, events, and reports.
◦ Assist with maintaining and updating website and social media content.
Ambassador of Fun
As the Ambassador of Fun, this role is dedicated to ensuring that caregivers feel supported, valued, and engaged throughout their experience with Visiting Angels. Responsibilities include:
1. Orientation:
◦ Initiate organization retention efforts and create a positive, fun, and motivating atmosphere to kick off Orientation.
◦ Engage with each caregiver candidate and collect their "favorite things" (e.g., drinks, snacks, hobbies, color) to create a personalized and enjoyable experience.
2. Daily Engagement:
◦ Deliver caregiver birthday cards and gifts as they occur.
◦ Plan and execute monthly engagement activities
◦ Interact with and encourage potential caregiver applicants whenever possible.
3. Monthly Engagement:
◦ Initiate contests and activities with caregivers as an engagement piece (including client involvement).
◦ Deliver monthly "Angel Baskets" to selected caregivers.
◦ Lead the planning and coordination of monthly caregiver meetings and quarterly staff events.
◦ Make monthly call to each caregiver to gauge their experience with us and to grow the caregiver/ employer relationship
4. Annual Engagement:
◦ Lead coordination of the Annual Caregiver Celebration, as well as holiday and other special staff events.
◦ Ensure staff involvement and coordination in planning and executing these events.
5. Administration:
◦ Update caregiver records to reflect “Caregiver Favorites” for future use in personalized gifting.
◦ Track and maintain caregiver gifts to ensure fair distribution and inclusion.
◦ Provide support for other office functions, such as phone answering and assisting with various office tasks.
◦ Post and share relevant information with caregivers including event updates, tips, and inspirational content.
◦ Track caregiver “We Prayed for You” cards, ensuring all caregivers receive a card at least once annually.
Qualifications
• Commitment to Mission: Strong dedication to the mission of Visiting Angels, with a focus on providing exceptional experiences for both clients and caregivers.
• Sales & Marketing: The ability to successfully drive growth, build and maintain strong relationships. Experience preferred.
• Caregiver Relations Expertise: An expert level understanding of how to create positive, fun experiences and a complete investment in driving positive, engaging work culture.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate individuals and groups.
• Tech Proficiency: Comfortable with computer software for word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations. Experience with social media, websites, and CRM tools is a plus.
• Self-Management: Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
