Are you a creative that’s skilled at graphic design? Do you love hospitality and have a keen interest in marketing strategy? The Cast Iron Group, a hospitality group that encompasses The Cookery, The Rickhouse, Dashi, and Ponysaurus Brewing Co., is growing its small-yet-mighty marketing department with the addition of a Design & Marketing Coordinator.
The Design & Marketing Coordinator will oversee and execute the group’s online website presence, newsletter strategy, and graphic design needs. The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of experience in graphic design and basic knowledge of key marketing strategy. Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus! This position will need to juggle multiple tasks and business goals simultaneously while crafting creative, engaging marketing work. We are looking for someone who is detail oriented, organized, and self-motivated.
The Graphic Design & Marketing Coordinator should have:
- 1-2 years of graphic design experience (Adobe Suite skills are a plus)
- At least one year of marketing experience and/or hospitality experience
- Knowledge of key principles of photography and ability to take striking product imagery
- Strong writing skills for quippy captions and long format informative descriptions
- A creative eye with an analytical perspective
- Ability to creatively problem solve and be solution-oriented
- Expertise into condensing complex ideas into easily understood concepts
- Punctuality for deadlines, meetings, and other time commitments
- Strong attention to detail
- Inquisitive thinking for analytics, planning, organization and efficient systems.
- Understanding of how to interpret marketing data to create effective and impactful changes to strategy
- Positive and professional attitude when communicating with internal and external stakeholders

The Graphic Design & Marketing Coordinator shall carry out the following:
WEBSITE MANAGEMENT – continually assess best website practices by keeping information up-to-date, assess best SEO and analytical metrics to understand user experience, understand blog posts, and visually create engaging content.
GRAPHIC DESIGN – design graphics for ongoing, seasonal, and one-off promotions for the businesses. Craft signage needs to in-person experiences in the businesses. Expand brand visuals through other promotional materials.
EMAIL NEWSLETTER ENGAGEMENT – understand the best avenues for creating successful, revenue-driving email newsletter campaigns.
