Industry: Non-Ferrous Foundry & Machine Shop

Responsibilities

This role involves cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Manufacturing, Quality, and Production Control teams, as well as external tooling and service vendors. Responsibilities include:

• Developing cost estimates and timelines with input from internal departments.
• Managing RFQs (Request for Quotation) to ensure timely responses to customer inquiries.
• Leading periodic RFQ review meetings to maintain on-time customer communication.
• Sourcing and processing quotes from external vendors.
  
  

Receive and process all Engineering Change Requests/Notifications

Access the impact on the casting and machining operations, tooling, as well as the commercial impact. This activity requires interactions with internal departments such as Manufacturing, Quality, Production Control as well as external vendors of tooling and services.

• Develop and maintain a status spreadsheet for all ECS's (Engineering Change Notifications) and deviations.
• Oversee periodic meetings with all team members in the process to review the ECN (Electronic Communication Network) spreadsheet and ensure on time customer response.
• Process and issue quotations and present the blueprints or CAD models
  
  

Map the value stream of the estimating and quoting process for new business RFQ's, ECN's and re-pricing activities. Conduct continuous improvement activities to reduce throughput time for development estimates and quotations to customers.

Obtain quotations for tooling and external operations required to respond to our customers RFQ's and Engineering Change Requests/Notifications.

Assist in data entry in Odyssey ERP system to maintain routing and production rates.

Perform cost estimates of existing work based on Odyssey data.
