What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Clerk position at Castaic Union School District?
Under the direction of the Director of Business and Fiscal Services, the Purchasing Clerk performs a wide variety of activities related to procurement, inventory control and asset management. 1. Must successfully complete a pre-employment medical examination and be free of communicable disease. Must meet district and state standards for physical and mental health.
2. High school diploma. Preference will be given to candidates having college credit in business or prior purchasing experience.
3. Two (2) years successful experience in responsible clerical functions, preferably involving purchasing and/or inventory control.
4. Ability to pass District Proficiency Examination.
