Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer
Description: This role requires a highly skilled mechanical engineer with expertise in thermal, structural, assembly, design-for-test, and other domains. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will work closely with fellow engineers across missile-level and seeker-level hardware domains.
Responsibilities:
- System Synthesis: Collaborate with broader seeker and missile teams to develop a physical concept for realizing subsystems.
- Electronics Packaging: Represent mechanical design aspects in creating assembly flow, thermal management concepts, and integration into the next higher assembly.
- Thermal Analysis: Work with EE design teams to develop solutions for keeping electrical components within thermal boundaries throughout the mission. Simulate performance during design, and measure performance of heat sinks once fabricated.
- Structural Analysis: Perform basic structural analysis of components in missile flight environments.
- Test Fixtures: Create concepts and designs for various lab and captive flight test fixtures.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master's degree in mechanical engineering.
- Experience: 10 years of professional mechanical engineering experience. Must have experience working with EEs in RF and PCB/CCA domains to realize producible, scalable solutions.
