Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Technical & Drafting Duties
- Conduct due diligence on project requirements.
- Convert input drawings to Castillo Standards.
- Develop model space based on project specifications and design features.
- Create and maintain the following project drawings to Castillo Standards:
- Cover Sheet and Maps
- General Notes
- Typical Sections
- Site Plan
- Drainage Maps
- Erosion Control Maps
- Landscape Plans
- Plans and Profiles
- Cross-Sections
- Various Detail Drawings
- Perform earthwork calculations, including area and volume determinations.
- Adhere to the firm’s design and client review process.
Process Improvement & Documentation
- Overhaul and optimize AutoCAD procedures to improve efficiency.
- Develop and implement CAD Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the Engineering Team.
- Track and manage project files, ensuring organized workflows and document control.
Collaboration & Client Service
- Provide training and support to team members to improve proficiency in Civil 3D.
- Work individually or as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
- Maintain 5-star customer service, ensuring clear communication and high-quality deliverables.
Required Qualifications:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Drafting, including:
- AutoCAD file structures
- X-references
- Dynamic work blocks
- High Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, including:
- Points & Surfaces,
- Alignments
- Feature Lines, Grading and Contour Maps
- Profiles
- Corridors including Intersection function
- Assemblies, and Sub-Assemblies
- Pipe Networks
- Sample Lines & Section Views
- Elevation Editor
- Automated Plan Production
- Sheet Set Manager (SSM)
- Automated Labeling & Annotation
- Grading Optimization is a plus
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
Technical Knowledge:
- PV-Case (preferred)
- Fundamentals of Civil Engineering Design, including:
- Driveway Details
- Stormwater Design
- Roadway Design
- Mass Grading
- Geotechnical Considerations
- Structural Elements

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
