The School of Nursing and Health Sciences at Vermont State University, Department of Nursing, invites applications for a Part-Time Clinical Capstone Preceptor for the 2025 Spring Semester (January 21-May 16, 2025).
The course to be taught is NUR-4820-S01 Clinical Capstone Preceptor
4 Credits
This course will build upon previous nursing and liberal arts coursework to develop a foundation for nursing practice. This intensive 160- hour capstone clinical experience prepares final semester student-learners to transition from the student to the entry-level nurse generalist within professional practice. Students will be assigned, supervised, and evaluated by a preceptor in a clinical setting as they provide direct care to their population.
Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must possess a master's degree in nursing or related field. Teaching experience in secondary school or college is a plus. An active unencumbered Vermont RN licensure or eligibility for an unencumbered Vermont license required. A valid driver's license is required.
Salary:
Based on credits previously taught per VSC-VSCPTF Bargaining Unit Agreement.
