Description
The Parts Runner/Warehouse Associate supports the Installation Team with a variety of essential tasks. The best-qualified applicant for this position will have an interest in residential and commercial HVAC and is willing to learn and grow.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:
- Complete material/parts run to the techs in the field
- Collect any truck re-stock that has been staged returning to warehouse
- Restock material that has been brought back by technicians
- Perform shop/warehouse maintenance as needed
- Ensure warehouse is kept in an orderly manner at all times
- Perform warehouse inventory
- Assist with pulling truck stock as needed
- Assist in staging Installation Technicians vans with necessary parts
- Ensure vehicles are properly inventoried with essential equipment for installation
- Operate a forklift
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Hardworking, reliable, responsible
- Warehouse and/or HVAC experience a plus
- Willing and able to operate a forklift
- A team-oriented attitude and willing to learn
- Acceptable driving record, pursuant to company policy
- Valid California Drivers License
- General knowledge of safe working practices and federal/state OSHA requirements is required as applicable
Essential Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
- Regularly and routinely required to sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, stoop hands to finger, handle controls; hear, and talk.
- Frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The position is required to be able to climb ladders, work in hot and cold environments, and work in small crawl spaces.
- Must regularly lift and/or move 50lbs and up. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
- The work environment can vary depending on the season and scope of work – the position is required to work outdoors throughout the seasons.
- The work environment will subject employees to continual interruptions and changing priorities.
- Effective, consistent, and constant communication with customers, vendors, co-workers, and others is required.
