The Rental Field Service Supervisor is responsible for directing, managing and coordinating rental service activities of multiple establishments to install, service, maintain and repair equipment that is rented, leased or sold by performing duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Maintain total responsibility for achievement of region goals and objectives.
- Evaluate, coach, motivate and direct the rental service teams’ performance.
- Provides process and system support to the development and implementation of a comprehensive equipment management program.
- Develops consistent policies and procedures for all rental service operations.
- Oversees work order process and insures all maintenance records are properly tracked for each rental machine.
- Oversee monthly parts/shop supplies budget. Cost of maintenance not to exceed 10% of rental revenue.
- Insure 100% of all recoverable warranty claims are processed and recovered within a timely manner.
- Oversee rental PM service program to insure all rental machines are receiving proper maintenance scheduling.
- Work with other departments to enhance cooperation and effective cross-departmental processes.
- Set the quality assurance standard, and insure all employees are properly developing and receiving necessary training.
- Work closely with Rental Coordinators and insure all are working towards the same goals and objectives.
- 100% of management requests, special assignment and/or projects to be completed within the specified time.
- Actively participate and provide input in weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Supervisory Responsibilities This position supervises a team of Rental Service Leadmen and related employees across various rental locations.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Four year degree in related field from an accredited college or university or 5-10 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five years experience with Caterpillar product lines.
- Five years of database and project management experience.
- Strong ability to communicate, influence, and build consensus across departmental lines.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Valid driver’s license and meet company driving requirements.
