About the role: Logistics Manager
Catalina Snacks is a fast-growing food company producing and marketing Low-Sugar/High-Protein Cereals and Snacks. We service consumers primarily through B2B transactions directly with retailers and through value-added distributors. We also have a direct-to-consumer e-commerce platform and fulfillment operation as well as distribution through major e-commerce channels like Amazon.
We are seeking a talented and experienced Logistics Manager to join our Supply Chain and Operations team. This role will support the business through warehouse and logistics operations management, safety and compliance, and people management.
The role is based in Lebanon, IN and will report to the Director of Customer Service and Logistics, who is not on site. On site, the position will take direction and receive support from the Operations Manager. The Logistics Manager will manage 6-7 Material Handlers and Inventory Control Specialists.
Duties:
- Warehouse Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day management of warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, inventory control, order picking, and shipping of raw materials and finished products.
- Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory levels using inventory management systems. Ensure that all materials are properly stored and tracked to prevent loss, damage, or expiration, and ensure products are stored in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and train warehouse staff, including forklift operators, warehouse associates, and logistics assistants. Develop and maintain a high-performance team through coaching, training, and performance evaluations.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure the warehouse complies with safety, health, and food safety standards (e.g., OSHA, GMP, HACCP). Conduct regular audits and safety inspections to identify and address hazards. Implement procedures to minimize accidents, injuries, and product contamination.
- Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with procurement, production, and distribution teams to ensure materials are available when needed and finished goods are distributed in a timely manner to meet customer demands.
- Process Optimization: Continuously assess and improve warehouse operations by implementing best practices for efficiency, accuracy, and cost control. Identify and resolve bottlenecks, streamline processes, and adopt automation and technological solutions to enhance productivity.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations. Prepare regular reports on key performance metrics such as inventory turnover, order accuracy, and on-time deliveries.
- Vendor & Supplier Relations: Work closely with suppliers and transportation partners to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any logistics-related issues, ensuring product availability and minimal disruption to operations.
- Budget Management: Monitor and manage warehouse budget, optimizing resource allocation and cost control while ensuring adequate staffing levels, equipment maintenance, and supply availability.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or warehouse operations, preferably in food manufacturing or similar industry.
· Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
· Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
· Build relationships and is collaborative with cross-functional partners.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
· Responsive and highly available via e-mail.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to work in a matrixed environment.

· Advanced Microsoft Office skills required, including high level proficiency in MS Excel (e.g. VLOOKUPS and Pivot Table experience strongly preferred).
