Job Description – Guest Services Agent
Cataloochee Ranch is a Relais & Châteaux resort that mixes classic ranch fun with exceptional accommodations and cuisine. Founded almost a hundred years ago by the Alexander family, Cataloochee Ranch has been a favorite mountain getaway for generations of high-country adventurers. Spread across hundreds of acres along the southeastern border of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the property’s breathtaking elevation, open balds, and long-range views are complemented by classic comforts, perfectly rustic cuisine, humble hospitality, and hands-on, expert-led activities.
Our Guest Service Agents are friendly, ambassadors of the Ranch, welcoming guests, assisting with guest requests and anticipating needs to create an environment of personalized service.
Responsibilities include:

- Welcome guests and tell the story of Cataloochee Ranch.
- Creates and provides memorable guest experiences.
- Creates and maintains reservations efficiently and with accuracy.
- Creates and maintains professional relationships with guests and coworkers.
- Handles guest transactions via POS/PMS system.
- Ability to navigate Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Sheets.
- Respond to guest feedback in a friendly, timely manner.
- Process guest check-ins and departures within the reservation system.
- Ability to explain amenities and activities that are available to guests.
- Work with other departments to ensure guest requests are met and expectations are exceeded.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment while maintaining friendliness and professionalism.
- Exhibits attention to detail in all aspects of job duties.
Minimum Requirements:
A strong desire to provide memorable, authentic service. Prior Front Office or luxury customer service experience is highly desired. Strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to easily perform and prioritize multiple tasks. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Computer skills required. Strong guest and team member relation skills and must be professional and diplomatic.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work varied shifts based on guest & business needs.
- Sitting, walking, standing and bending.
- Lifting/Carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Hearing and manual dexterity.
- Ability to drive a company vehicle.
