What you would do....
A Behavior Technician provides one-on-one behavioral intervention services to children with special needs and support to their families, and practices under the close, ongoing supervision of a BCBA. RBTs work with clients in-home, in-school, in-center, and in the community. Behavior Technicians are responsible for implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)-based programs as directed by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst/Case Supervisor. Each Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) will continue to assess and evaluate the effectiveness of the Behavior Support Plan in achieving identified goals and objectives by collecting data and writing progress notes. Effective communication with parents and supervisors is essential to the RBT’s success and must be present at all times. RBTs will complete a BACB-approved RBT course and keep registration current. Other responsibilities include the following:
- Understanding and adhering to established policies and procedures, Catalyst standards, and consistently interpreting and accurately performing all assigned responsibilities.
- Attending all staff meetings and patient-care conferences as scheduled.
- Keeping a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.
- Recording detailed session notes, keeping accurate client data in real-time, and maintaining records well documented.
- Observing confidentiality and safeguarding all patient-related information.
- Immediately report any patient incidents, variances, or complaints to the BCBA/Therapy supervisor.
- Maintaining acceptable attendance status, per Catalyst policy.
- Reporting all incomplete work assignments to BCBA/Therapy supervisor.
- Always keeping up appearance within Catalyst standards: clean and well-groomed.
- Demonstrating effective time-management skills through daily documentation and infrequent overtime for routine assignments.
- Maintaining a clean and neat work environment.
- Demonstrating sound judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making.
- Maintaining current BLS certification.
- Exemplary skills in self-management and communication.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
