Job Summary
- Performs complex secretarial work of an administrative nature with emphasis on billing for outpatient and residential programs. Minimal instruction or supervision. Provides assistance to supervisor in billing areas.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Monitors, reconciles, and assists with billing for the program.
- Encode billing for individual, group, UA's, court related services etc., in the appropriate billing database.
- Track Drug Court Slots with spread sheet.
- Track the amount of money billed for DMH, Medicaid and possible other contract sources.
- Advise and notify of treatment plans, assessments, being done in a timely manner.
- Assure CDC's are done properly and in a timely manner.
- Advise in timely manner if clients are eligible or not eligible for services.
- Coordinate with DMH, Medicaid, etc. on billing issues.
- Uses various software applications, such as word processing, spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages, and graphics packages to assemble, manipulate and/or format data and/or reports.
- May coordinate meeting logistics, providing basic secretarial functions including document preparation and management, note taking, and meeting minutes, if necessary.
- May utilize knowledge and understanding of underlying operational issues to create, compose, and edit technical and/or administrative billing procedures.
- May research information, compile statistics, and gather and compute various data; prepare special and/or one-time reports, summaries, or replies to inquiries, selecting relevant data from a variety of sources.
- Will assist program support activities such as answering telephones, filing, UA monitoring and/or collection.
- Education and awareness on core competencies in relation to individuals with co-occurring disorders to be addressed in training activities.
- Performs other duties as deemed necessary by supervisor.
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 2 years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Insurance billing experience required.
- Candidate should be familiar with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Adobe, and Word.
- High task oriented
