Catalyst Campus for Technology & Innovation is strategically headquartered in Colorado, a state that houses over 500 aerospace and defense companies and is nestled in Colorado Springs, a community with five military installations, small-to-large sized defense companies, agile startups and entrepreneurs. We have begun a national expansion with new locations opened in Maryland and Utah with several others planned in the coming years. Our open concept campus has created a partnership and an ecosystem for technology and innovation, and Catalyst Campus is uniquely positioned to bring these elements together to deliver on novel and disruptive technologies. We engage with stakeholders across the industry, academia, government, and key partnerships cultivating and enhancing public-private partnerships, ensuring the rapid delivery of critical aerospace and defense capabilities to our nation and allied warfighters.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Operations and Events Specialist is responsible for providing a warm welcome to everyone at the Catalyst Campus. The Operations and Event Specialist provides front desk support, assists with events and performs office duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Greet visitors, partners, and clients as they arrive and assist as needed. Get to know names and make everyone feel welcome
  • Answer phone lines, assist callers and direct to correct offices
  • Manage scheduling software and Campus calendar to include scheduling, tracking and billing of all meeting rooms
  • Assist with event requests to include scheduling and set up of rooms with appropriate supplies and AV equipment
  • Interface with Campus tenants to assist with room reservations, resolution of service issues and provide clerical support
  • Maintain inventories of supplies to include tracking and billing
  • Maintain the image of Catalyst Campus by assisting with cleaning and organization
  • Support new tenant move-ins as requested
  • Manage CRM and visitor logs
  • Some travel to pick up supplies, catering or marketing materials may be required
  • Other office duties as requested (prepare correspondence, photocopy, PowerPoint presentations)
  • Assist with after hour events and help organize accordingly
  • Distribute all mail and packages to corresponding tenants
  • Support administrative tasks for marketing
  • Support administrative tasks for badging and security
  • Provide IT support to all meetings as requested
  • Fill in when teammates are out of the office (knowledge of other positions)
  • Flexible hours with the ability to open and/or close the facility and work occasional evening events
  • This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel software
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Self-starter with a can-do attitude
  • Welcoming and friendly personality
  • Requires flexibility in hours available to work and could require starting the day early, or ending the day later depending on the events scheduled

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years related experience
  • Event Planning experience preferred

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
