Job Summary:
Catawba Two Kings Casino is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Administrative Assistant. The Administrative Assistant will provide essential administrative support to our Senior Executive Administrative Assistant in supporting the dynamic team of upper management and Executive and Director level team members, up to and including the President and Vice President. This entry-level role is designed for a detail-oriented, proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced setting. The successful candidate will assist with daily administrative functions, manage routine clerical duties, and help maintain efficient operationsall while upholding a high level of confidentiality.
Responsibilities:
Assist with travel arrangements, appointment scheduling, and meeting coordination for casino executives, (directors and above).
Maintain and update executive calendars, ensuring timely scheduling and conflict resolution.
Answer telephones, direct routine inquires take messages, and route calls appropriately.
Perform general office tasks such as filing, copying, scanning, and sorting mail.
Organize and maintain important executive files and records.
Help prepare expense reports and process invoices under supervision.
Assist with data entry and recordkeeping using standard office software.
Assist with special projects and administrative tasks as assigned by the Senior Executive Administrative Assistant, ensuring deadlines are met.
Always handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required, bachelors degree in business administration or a closely related field is preferred.
One to two (1-2) years of administrative or office experience is preferred.
Organizational skills and attention to detail, is a must.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Gaming License.
Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or similar software.
Comfortable learning and using new software applications as needed.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to type a minimum of 50 words per minute.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Ability to work an alternate schedule as needed.
Ability to work in a loud fast-paced casino environment (may occasionally be exposed to second-hand cigarette smoke).
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms; bend to open/use lower drawers or cabinetry; to talk, hear, and see. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
