It is the primary responsibility of a Line Cook to prepare and cook food on all stations in the kitchen. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental policies, practices, and procedures. This position ensures proper preparation, presentation, and quality standards of all food at the direction of F&B Manager, F&B Assistant Manager and F&B Supervisor, to deliver prompt, courteous service in a manner that complies with Two Kings Casino Food and Beverage standards and company policies and procedures in all areas of operations related to guest service experience for food venue.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare items according to recipe
• Ensure food quality
• Set up station and breakdown station
• Prepare food items in a timely manner
• Ensure all products are rotating on a first-in, first-out philosophy
• Ensure all requisitions are processed properly and placed in designated area
• Identify and safely use all kitchen equipment
• Regularly restock all kitchen supplies and food items required for service
• Properly label and date all products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation
• Read, measure, and execute recipes
• Maintain a solid menu knowledge and attention to detail with plate presentation
• Versatile in preparing both hot and cold items
• Maintain a solid knowledge, understanding and preparation of base sauces, stocks, and soups
• Work as a team, assisting all guests’ and employees’ needs and inquiries
• Assist in completing inventory process and ordering necessary items, spot check pars levels
• Maintains inventory of food and non-food supplies to stay within established guidelines while assuring that necessary product is available when needed
• Perform food prep work while maintaining food quality, presentation, and sanitation standards
• Examine food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and consistency standards are met
• Monitor food waste
• Communicate ticket times to Team Members
• Individual must be able to work in fast-paced environment and multitask • Perform other job-related duties as requested

Qualifications
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Prefer previous experience working in a similar back of the house setting, at least 1 year of experience in a highvolume/restaurant
• Ability to take initiative and exhibit flexibility
• Have a passion for great food and great fun
• Ability to apply basic knife skills
• A team player highly motivated and energetic personality
• Working knowledge of all food products and is able to skillfully apply culinary techniques
• Working knowledge, understanding and application of various cooking techniques
• Excellent customer service skills
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms
• Must adheres to performance standards, company policies and procedures, as they relate to the department.
• Must be work flexible schedule to include weekends, holidays, available to work all shifts (day, swing, & night
shift)
• Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
• Must be able to obtain a Gaming License.
• Certifications / Licenses o ServSafe certified (Food Handler’s Certification) preferred before employment o Must be able to obtain a Gaming License.
Physical Requirements
• Manual dexterity sufficient to chop, mix, blend, whip etc. a variety of foods and liquids. • Ability to lift and carry large pans from ovens or freezers, weighing up to 65 lbs.
• Standing and walking for entire length of shift (up to 95%).
• Working conditions: hot, noisy
• Frequently required to reach up to 6-7 feet, twist at waist, bending and squatting.
• Pushing and pulling occasionally, to move equipment, mops, and brooms.
