Catawba Valley Staffing in Valdese is seeking motivated individuals for a Battery Assembly Technician opportunity
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Assemble cell pairs and modules following approved design data to include procedures and drawings
- Assemble a variety of products ranging in volume from unique single-piece units to repetitive hundred-unit runs
- Occasionally communicate and work with engineering to assist them in developing robust assembly processes
- Perform rework on assembled components based on the written and verbal direction
- Complete build documentation records, both written and electronic, with a high level of precision and accuracy
- Perform Quality Assurance functions to include visual inspection, dimensional verification, and document review
- Ability to work on live cells, modules, and batteries knowledge Skills And Abilities
- Extreme focus and attention to detail
- Ability to clearly and concisely communicate observations, challenges, and successes with the production manager, engineering, and customer representatives
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Basic understanding of DC electrical circuits
- Ability to read and understand mechanical assembly drawings and process specifications
- Ability to operate various hand tools and numerous other manufacturing equipment
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills
- Able to adapt quickly to new methods and techniques, to learn quickly, and can work independently or as part of a team
