What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at Catbird?
Catbird, an iconic fine jewelry DTC brand, is seeking a Senior Accountant for our business team. The Senior Accountant is responsible for driving the monthly accounting close process and the analysis of performance and reporting results to financial and operations management. This position will take the lead in financial statement preparation and specifically product costs, product cost variances, manufacturing spending, and inventory levels. The Senior Accountant will monitor labor and material product cost transactions, daily and monthly, to assure data accuracy and timeliness. They will assist with budget preparation, profitability analysis, and other related special projects such cost updates, business forecasting, inventory control, cycle counts, etc. The ability to monitor and communicate financial results to management, product costs and expense variances to management is key to the success of this position.
