Position:
Entry Level Catering Event Manager needed for Award Winning Off-Premise Catering Company. Some Catering Companies or Hotels would liken this Job Title to: "Banquet Captain" managing Banquet Servers, but we do things a little bit different around here! :-) Candidate will set up/work at banquet events, manage staff at events, play the point contact at events, PLUS assist in planning events in our office during the week in a fun and challenging environment.

Required: Catering or Restaurant Experience/Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook/ Explorer/ Organizational Skills/Detail Oriented/ Customer Service Experience/Pleasant Phone Voice/Email Etiquette/Upbeat Personality/Ability to Multi-task in an Ever Changing Environment/Efficient Time Management/Ability to handle last minute changes/Valid Driver's License/Ability to lift 30 lbs. Some management experience beneficial, but not required.

Event Duties (approx. 70% of the job) include: Setting up off-premise catered events and working dining banquet service from event start to end. Leading event staff by example and through respectful and efficient task delegation. Working directly with Clients. Lifting, loading, carrying, and bussing. Smiling.

Office Duties (approx. 30% of the job) include: Logistics planning for events. Assisting with Event Production. Organizing equipment for events. Smiling. While creativity and design are a part of what we do here, that is only a small portion of this job position.

More Requirements: Willing to work on fun and not-so-fun projects. Understanding that sometimes we get dirty. Character is more important than ability. Self motivated with lots of Initiative because things move fast around here and we are working too hard to have time to micro-manage you. Willing to do whatever it takes to make our events successful. Smiles and Laughter are always required, but are also easy to come by around here.

Availability for Days, Evenings and Saturdays required. Weekly schedule is dependent on event bookings.
