ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works collaboratively with all levels of management in developing strategic plans, priorities and administration for foundation and government grants and contracts.
- Participates in establishing and achieving Grants department objectives and goals
- Ensures agencys grant goals are achieved through coordinating the execution of all agency grant-related proposals, agreements, reports, budgets, internal and external communications, processes and planning.
- Works collaboratively with Grant Development Director and all levels of management to develop and implement best practices and strategic plans that are sustainable and repeatable.
- Works collaboratively with Grant Development Director and key leadership throughout Catholic Charities to develop clear, cohesive and consistent messaging surrounding grants and its role within the Agency.
- Develops close working relationships with Regional Directors, Directors, Program Managers, Finance, and Administration staff to improve workflows and communication strategies creating more collaboration and accountability across teams to improve the grants and contracts process.
- Proactively collects and maintains up-to-date research on potential grant-making organizations and grant/contract opportunities.
- Works with team on evaluating and selecting appropriate grants to apply for based upon Agency mission, values and needs.
- Ability to understand and convey to others the values and social teachings of the Catholic Church as they relate to the mission and work of Catholic Charities.
- Strong written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of nonprofit development resources, publications and procedures/best practices.
- Moderate accounting knowledge (private and public sector).
- Demonstrated multi-level project coordination, management and delivery.
- Intermediate computer office software, database management software and personal computer use skills.
- Knowledge of the service populations cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and the appropriate techniques and practices for the client population.
- Ability to interact effectively as a team member and independently with Agency staff and with a diverse client base.
- Ability to effectively lead and motivate staff through application of Agency values.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from accredited four-year college or university; and five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
MINISTERIAL REQUIREMENTS
Be a fully initiated Catholic in the communion of the Catholic Church and intentionally living out the five precepts of the Church (CCC 2041-2043). Refrain from public promotion or approval of, or the living out of, any conduct or lifestyle that would reflect discredit or disgrace on, or cause scandal in relationship to, the Archdiocese of Denver, or considered to be in contradiction with Catholic doctrine or morals.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
$95,000-$100,000
Schedule: This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week. This position is hybrid, requiring in-office work on Mondays and Wednesdays.
