MANA (Marines, Army, Navy, Air Force) House provides transitional housing for veterans. We provide a foundation for veterans currently or at-risk of experiencing homelessness, providing each one the opportunity to reclaim a life of self-sufficiency.
JOB SUMMARY: The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for ensuring residents at MANA House are transported to their destination safely and timely. Responsibilities include ensuring the vehicles are inspected and safe and other required documentation is completed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Provides safe transportation for residents at MANA House to identified points of interest (locally).
- Responsible for only operating company provided vehicle when discharging duties as a Transportation Coordinator.
- Ensure safety, working order, and maintenance of all vehicles.
- Report any damage to vehicles.
- Ensure vehicle readiness for usage.
- Ensure all drivers are properly trained. Address any driver safety concerns.
- Ensure all personnel are transported in a safe and timely manner.
- Delivery and pick up of donations.
- Coordinate MANA trips and vehicle schedules.
- Collaborate with other MANA, LDRC and partner programs.
- Attend & participate in appropriate MANA staff meetings.
- Appropriate, clean, well-groomed attire.
- Promote ongoing commitment to excellence and continual quality improvement to ensure the highest quality of services to our clients.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Education /Background: Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent with at least one (1) year of driving experience required.
- Job Knowledge: Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and driver safety. Experience working with the homeless and disadvantaged populations. Must have an excellent driving record and experience driving trucks, vans or other fleet vehicles.
- Working Conditions/Physical Demands: Must be able to stoop, bend, squat, sit on floor and ambulate over uneven floor surfaces including stairs and steps. Must be able to visually and auditory assess and interact with clients to ensure their safety and wellbeing. Extensive keyboard and data entry. Travel within the state may be required. Evening and weekend hours may be required. Must be able to visually and auditory assess and interact with clients to ensure their safety and wellbeing. May lift up to 25 pounds.
- Other requirements:
- Valid AZ driver’s license with driving record acceptable to insurer’s standards
- You must be 21 years of age or older to drive on behalf of Catholic Charities.
- Level One Fingerprint clearance or ability to obtain fingerprint clearance; must maintain clearance.
- Must have or complete within 90 days of hire, training in CPR and First Aid and remain current in the certification.
Work Hours: Monday - Friday from 7am to 3pm.
