Purpose Of Position
A Therapist at Catholic Charities:
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of three years of experience in clinical social work or related field. Experience with working with moderate to severe and persistently mentally ill populations. Knowledge/experience with substance abuse disorders and treatments preferred. Master's degree in social work, psychology, or similar field. Current license eligible or licensed as a LCSW/LPC/LAC in the State of Colorado. Provisionally Licensed or can obtain provisional license within 60 days.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $60,000-75,000 per year. Full Time.

Purpose Of Position
A Therapist at Catholic Charities:
- Obtains information about participants through use of interview, case history, and observational techniques.
- Conducts counseling or therapeutic treatments, in either individual or group sessions as appropriate, to assist participants in gaining insight into personal problems, define goals, and plan actions reflecting interests, abilities, and needs and to discuss progress towards achieving goals.
- Acts as an advocate for participants and/or participant systems when appropriate.
- Develop treatment plans; monitor treatment progress and follow-up at disposition times.
- Assist participants with psychological development, social development, and rehabilitation.
- Coordinate participant's use of other MHCD programs and outside community resources.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrates strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of methods of psychotherapy.
- Knowledge of community resources.
- Ability to assess crisis situations and intervene appropriately.
- Familiarity with the DSM V and diagnostic techniques.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
