About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Case Worker to join our team at Catholic Charities, Diocese of Joliet. As a key member of our Community Services Division, you will be responsible for providing support services to individuals and families in need.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage client treatment and implement daily routine at our residential facility.
- Respond to the 24-hour crisis line, utilizing crisis intervention, assessment, diversion, and referral skills.
- Assess clients' eligibility for rental assistance, transportation, childcare assistance, and other basic needs support.
- Provide a range of counseling services, including individual or family counseling, crisis intervention, budget counseling, personal hygiene, money management, job seeking skills, etc.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- At least one year of experience in social work, crisis intervention, or counseling is preferred.
- Must be at least twenty-one years old.
- Demonstrated capacity to work with individuals/families in crisis situations.
- Demonstrated capacity to work with persons from diverse ethnic, racial, and social backgrounds.
