Part Time Mental Health Peer Advocate (25 hours)
$22.00/hour
The Peer Advocate will be an individual who is or has been a consumer of mental health services. Their lived experiences will assist with the following responsibilities:
- Offer encouragement, support, outreach and service linkage to program clients
- Conduct psychoeducation and supportive groups
- Have a knowledge of community resources
- Flexible schedule: part time 25 hours weekly
- Participate in Team Meetings weekly
- Have experience and desire to assist others facing challenges related to mental illness.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Health or related field preferred
- 2 years’ experience working with individuals with mental illness
- Driver's License in Good Standing
