Substance Abuse Counselor - East Brunswick, New Brunswick, Edison, NJ
Description
- (Position is FFS) Credentialed Substance Use Counselor for Level 1 outpatient substance abuse program in East Brunswick.
- May conduct full substance use assessments and make recommendations for level of care
- Facilitate group and individual counseling sessions
- Complete treatment planning, discharge planning, as well as case management with state agencies for mandated clients.
Requirements
- BA/BS/BSW with CADC. Master’s level with LCADC or in pursuit of LCADC is preferable.
- Should be familiar with NJSAMS state computer system and have experience completing substance use assessments with urine screens.
- Candidate should have clinical experience in group and individual modalities. Excellent writing skills needed for clear documentation.
- Ability to collaborate with outside funding sources and affiliated agencies is important, i.e. IDRC, Probation.
