Position: Ombudsman Program Specialist
Salary: $19.47/Hr.
Catholic Charities is seeking a passionate individual to fill the role of Program Specialist in the Long-term Care Ombudsman Program for the Sonora office location. This part-time (20-25 hrs.) position offers the opportunity to significantly impact the Ombudsman program by providing administration and program support.
Responsibilities include investigating and responding to verbal, physical, or financial complaints by residents or their families regarding care in long-term care facilities, setting up preparation for training sessions and other office events, and assisting in the development of resident and family councils in skilled nursing facilities. The successful candidate will also provide Elder Abuse Prevention and Mandated Reporting training to various community business organizations.
Desired qualifications: AA Degree and two years related experience or four years work experience in a related field, State Certified Ombudsman, valid California driver's license, ability to work nights and weekends. Willing to travel throughout the Mother Lode counties.
