Catholic Charities, Diocese of Venice, Inc. provides services to people of all races, backgrounds and beliefs. We offer a variety of housing and social service programs to individuals, families and communities across ten counties in Southwest Florida. The Catholic Charities Children's Center (formerly AFCAAM) empowers community members to improve their lives through the promotion of dignity, self-reliance and development of hope. The center provides Lee County residents, specifically in the Dunbar neighborhood, with a variety of programs that focus on reading, early learning development, mentoring and socialization.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for the daily operations of the facility.
- Identify federal, state, local and private funding resources to develop new programming in conjunction with the Grants Management team.
- Develop quality standards, procedures, and workflows to provide effective youth programming
- Direct and manage existing after school reading and youth development programs ensuring compliance with funder regulations and goals and objectives are met.
- Develop an effective fundraising plan or event to support programs at the local level.
- Integrate Counseling services into educational programming.
- Develop and reintegrate an effective Mentoring program.
- Ensure community reintegration through dynamic community engagement, including public presentations and informative sessions.
- Develop and manage a sustainable budget for the center.
- Interview, hire, train and supervise youth programming personnel. Effectively supervise and evaluate all programmatic staff.
- Develop relevant community partnerships with other agencies, that benefit the local population. When appropriate prepare and provide in service training.
- Engage and integrate volunteer assistance for a more robust program.
- Develop youth programming to serve the Dunbar/East Fort Myers community.
- Identify new funding sources, this includes but is not limited to grants, donors and foundations.
- Assume other duties as assigned by the Regional Director and/or CEO.
- A Master's Degree in social work, business administration, early education or a related field is preferred, minimum of a bachelor's degree required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
- Two or more years of supervisory/executive level experience.
- Experience developing and managing programmatic budgets.
- Fundraising and business development experience.
- Experience writing and implementing grants.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with public speaking.
- Working knowledge of community resources.
- Must be able to pass a Level II background screening.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Bilingual English/ Spanish language skills are preferred.
