Catholic Charities Diocese of Venice, Inc. provides services to people of all races, backgrounds and beliefs. We offer a variety of housing and social service programs to individuals, families and communities across ten counties in Southwest Florida. The Program Coordinator is responsible for the effective and efficient operation of client services and program delivery at Guadalupe Social Services (GSS). The Program Coordinator is also responsible for the overall management of the staff and operations in accordance with the goals, policies and procedures of Catholic Charities Diocese of Venice.
Responsibilities:
- Works harmoniously with staff, supervisors, volunteers, community partners and the public in an effort to ensure that GSS provides high quality social services in the Immokalee community.
- Oversees the implementation, administration and evaluation of all GSS programs.
- Assumes responsibility for direct supervision of Catholic Charities employees at GSS. This includes training, monitoring, and managing time and attendance.
- Responsible for facility/programmatic tours, grant acquisition, and community relations.
- Maintain positive relationships with funding groups, regulatory and community agencies.
- Raise funds by producing a monthly appeal letter, speak and present to possible donors/ groups.
- Assumes responsibility for the completion and timely submission of required reports to supervisors and other agencies as required.
- Participates in trainings, as assigned and conducts in-service training for staff as needed.
- Conducts regular staff meetings.
- Demonstrates respect for professional boundaries with staff, volunteers, and clients.
- Oversees the management of the Casa Maria Soup Kitchen in the absence of the soup kitchen cook.
- Maintains accurate financial records to include bank deposits, donations, check requests and accounts payable.
- Maintains open lines of communication with Regional Director and Central Office staff.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Associate's degree preferred. Candidates with extensive experience in human service delivery will be considered
- Bilingual in English/ Spanish Preferred
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well with culturally diverse staff and clients
- Must have reliable, adequate and available transportation
- The employee must provide a copy of their valid Driver's license
- Excellent computer skills, especially with all Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
