What will you be doing in your role?
- Integrate data from multiple sources to form the basis for simple, effective and comprehensive reporting.
- Implement tools and processes that facilitate data discovery and insight.
- Support with maintaining Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) routines that securely and reliably obtain, clean, combine, and homogenize data from disparate sources.
- Identify and resolve issues in the ETL process and implement solutions to enhance ETL efficiency and reliability.
- Develop solutions to information-based technical challenges related to data integration solutions, including but not limited to creating and maintaining reusable and secure APIs (application programming interface).
- Support with building, maintaining, optimizing and documenting Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) schemas, objects, tables, relationships, stored views and procedures.
- Conduct timely and accurate impact reporting to satisfy agency information needs
- Perform data cleaning functions and identify opportunities to implement systematic data cleaning procedures.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for ETL processes, job flows, troubleshooting steps, and best practices.
- Work closely with Data Architect, database administrators, Business Analysts and other department stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure data delivery aligns with business needs.
- Generate reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Author reusable SQL queries to aggregate data for reporting and analytics purposes.
- Support in the creation and maintenance of reports, dashboards, and infographics that lead to actionable intelligence and address emerging information needs.
- Document processes, workflows and best practices related to the organization’s data, integrations and impact reporting protocols.
- Support creation of data visuals including automated dashboards to creatively communicate program results and client trends.
- Maintain documentation of reporting protocols, including definitions, measurement and reporting methods of KPIs (key performance indicators) and program outcomes to ensure reporting integrity.
- Keep abreast of the latest developments in data management and data integration.
- Maintain current knowledge of trends and issues around data analysis, data management, data visualization, poverty and family self-sufficiency.
- Participate in staff training and development opportunities.
Are you the next Data Integration Specialist?
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Data Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Economics, Data Analytics, etc.) AND 1-2 years of professional experience OR a combination of education and experience.
- Experience in collecting, interpreting, and analyzing data required.
- Experience using query functions in a relational database required.
- Experience with data analytic software (e.g., SPSS, Stata) preferred.
- Experience with ETL tools and concepts (e.g., SSIS, Visual Studio) preferred.

Experience with data visualization software (e.g., Power BI) preferred.

Experience with machine-learning principles and concepts preferred.

Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to apply creative solutions to complex problems required.

Prior work experience in areas related to social services, education, and/or poverty preferred.

Proficiency in MS Excel and Power Query required.

- Full-time salary position with a starting rate of $50,000 annually based on the minimum requirements of the job description. Pay is determined by relevant experience, work history, education and internal equities.
