What are the responsibilities and job description for the Agape Aide position at Catholic Charities Maine?
Catholic Charities Maine currently has an On-Call opportunity for an Agape Aide in Fairfield. The Agape Aide is a trained, supervised paraprofessional who provides in-home services designed to assist select retired priests in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Portland, ME to remain independent in their own homes. Tasks include services such as cleaning, grocery shopping, and laundry. The work is done in priest’s residences and involves travel. Evening and weekend hours may be required depending on priest’s schedules and needs.
Qualifications: A high school diploma or GED certificate is preferred. Basic computer skills and the ability to print neatly are required. No formal experience requirement. Preference will be given to those with experience serving seniors and persons with disabilities, those familiar with and comfortable working with clergy as well as experience in housekeeping and home management.
Salary: $17.69/hour
